Are you feeling f*&%ing burnt out?!

YOU DESERVE CREATIVITY

YOU DESERVE JOY

YOU DESERVE TO HEAL

The past few years, heck, the past DECADE have been soul sucking for most, there is no denying that. Whether it’s the attention economy, the pandemic, the government, the systems, or the expectations imposed on us, we are all fried.

I hear you:

“I want my energy back.” “I want to live a life full of creativity and joy.” “I want ease.” “I don’t want to conform to anyone’s expectations but my OWN.”

Well, you don’t have to. This is the magic of CREATIVE PLAY. When we play, we put ourselves in the present moment, let go of systems, and bring our attention to what we all DESERVE. This is an act of radical rebellion: every human deserves joy. Creative thought is a human right. YOU ARE ALREADY A CREATIVE, and together we can uncover that light already within. Let’s heal together through creativity.

CREATIVITY IS NOT SOMETHING YOU BECOME, IT IS A WAY OF LIVING.

Welcome to Play/Ground

Play/Ground is a 10-week online course where we listen, intuit, build on, discover, and converse with our own inner-creative.
May 19th - July 21st, Thursdays (4:00 - 5:30 pm PST)

This class is perfect both for the artist looking to take their work to the next level, or the individual who has yet to meet their inner creative!

Through practices in play, meditation, intuitive writing, group discussion, movement, and creation, we will begin to get to know our inner creative, and imagine a life outside of ourselves that reflects the joy we cultivate internally.

“This class was gorgeous, substantial, and rich (like a beautifully made banana cream pie w/ real vanilla)!” - previous participant

Over the 10 weeks we will...

  • Take inventory of our lives from a curious and mindful perspective

  • Rediscover our child-self (aka, sweet talk that lil’ baby inside of you!)

  • Discover new ways of seeing our daily actions and activities, and find time that holds space for creative thought

  • Tap into all of the soft, juicy, vulnerable feelings that come up during the creative process

  • Mourn creative loss, and create spiritual compost for new projects

  • Rediscover a creative identity that aligns with your integrity, wisdom, and dreams

  • Outline and create a presentation and project that highlights our 10 week journey

  • Create a path for sustainable next steps, checkpoints, and measurables that we can continue to follow after our 10-weeks together

“This class was incredibly rewarding. I was really blown away with Alex’s generosity of spirit, how much time and energy they put into the class and the discord. I felt really supported!”- previous participant

When we are together, we will stay in the process. We will honor the middle, not end, of our journeys. We will cultivate radical community, and support each other through our words, actions, and thoughts.

By enrolling in this course, you will receive…

  • Weekly online Zoom sessions to connect with other students, participate in activities, and be held/supported

  • Weekly meditations & audio to support your journey

  • Weekly essays, worksheets, and action-items to take your work to the next level

  • An online community forum exclusively for other students to support each other in their journey (we like to call it the “JungleGym”)

  • Unlimited access to Q&A

  • Lifetime access to the Play/Ground Community

ALEX BRENNAN-ARNOPOL
www.alexarnopol.com

Alex is a dancey-pants artist with a heart full of soft feelings & hard cheese. They have over 5 years of experience offering Art Counseling & Coaching, and 12+ years experience working with individual creatives in one-on-one work, group teaching, and offering guidance for institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, the Maryland Institute College of Art, and The Otis College of Art & Design. With a focus on play & vulnerability, they pride themselves on their “non-binary” approach to life and coaching- “Here, we recognize the spectrum, not the binary. Perfectionism is binary (bad vs good), play is not. My approach is founded on one simple idea- you can be two things at once. You can be hurting, and happy. You can be growing, and succeeding. You can be vulnerable, and powerful. You are not one idea, concept, or structure. As a unique human, your creative freedom will be unique to you.”
